RoArInG twenties and my personal development

Your roaring twenties wouldn't be RoArInG if you didn't develop yourself a lot in all the chaos that life brings. In my twenties, I experienced HUGE growth. This actually started with my decision to pursue EMDR therapy to finally process everything that happened during the divorce battle. After that, I started working on better managing my high sensitivity through a coaching program, and I never stopped developing myself. That's how I realized I was looking for the wrong things. I was seeking happiness in temporary moments like buying something new, going out, going on a trip, etc. But what I was really looking for was self-love. I learned to shift my mindset to a positive one, and that allowed me to see myself differently.

Positive mindset – what it can do for you

A positive mindset might sound vague: "Always being cheerful" or "seeing everything through rose-colored glasses." But it's certainly not. A positive mindset is about consciously choosing what to focus on , even when life sometimes feels difficult or chaotic. Even if you master this, you'll still face bad days or negative thoughts, but you'll be able to handle them much better and bounce back more easily.

Why it makes a difference

Your thoughts have a huge impact on how you feel, how you react, and how you make choices. By learning to recognize negative thoughts and transform them, you create space for more peace, clarity, and energy.

“You HAVE thoughts, you ARE not your thoughts.”

With a positive mindset:

  • Do you see solutions faster instead of problems?

  • Do you experience more gratitude, even in small things (which contributes to an overall feeling of happiness; life is fun again)

  • Do you feel more resilient in the face of adversity?

  • Create more energy instead of burning out (you feel more energetic in general)

How to get started yourself

The beauty is that these are small, daily exercises, but they make a big difference in the long run. Sometimes it's difficult to do this on your own, and especially to maintain it. If you're not used to doing this—it's a kind of habit—you can still be overwhelmed by the negative thoughts you're used to letting dominate. In that case, in my experience, it can be very helpful to follow a coaching program where you're given tools AND the support of a coach who takes you by the hand and reminds you of what you want to do.

My experience

When I started training my mindset, I noticed I was able to break free from worrying thoughts more quickly, felt more focused, and was also more easily in touch with my own feelings. I was more grateful for what I already had and more positive about what I could achieve. I was much better able to control my inner critical voice. Small changes in how you think have a huge impact on how you feel and act .

So a positive mindset isn't magic, but a skill. And like any skill, you can practice and develop it step by step.

Step by step, you'll learn to direct your thoughts instead of them directing you. 🌿
